If your child’s birthday is on a school day, decorate his or her bed with balloons and streamers while they are sleeping so they may wake up in a festive mood. Also, insert a surprise birthday card in their lunch box. If you are sending cupcakes to school, use a 20 ounce or larger empty cereal box, lay it on its back and cut out the front panel portion. Use the cut piece as a top. Your child may discard the box after everyone in class gets a treat.
