Outdoor Activity
Ages 4 and up
Materials Needed:
- A large, soft ball
Have children make a circle with one child in the center. The child in the center must throw the ball straight up and call out the name of one of the other players. The player whose name is called out must try to catch the ball before it bounces. If they can catch it before it hits the ground they then become the center person. If they cannot catch the ball then they must leave the game. If this happens, the center person attempts to call out another person’s name, and so on.
