Indoor or Outdoor Activity
Ages 6 and up
Materials needed:
- Old magazines
- Pencil
- Paper
Divide children into groups of two or three. The object of the game is to find items beginning with a particular letter. You assign the letter. Make sure you have plenty of old magazines on hand so that each child may skim through the pages. The teams will each have a limit of ten minutes. One member must write down the page number of the object that begins with the designated letter. Or, just have them rip out that page, if you were going to throw out that magazine anyway. A the end of the ten minutes whichever team has the most items wins.
PS. You may also give each team a list of items to find, but make sure they will be available in that particular magazine.
